There are two conference rooms in the Multimedia Resources
Department each with seating capacity of approximately 35 persons. These
rooms are fitted with large-screen video monitors, DVD players, VCRs, pull down screens, greenboards,
and electrical outlets. A mobile teaching station is also available. These rooms
are available only for Montclair State University-sponsored events.
Faculty members and other University officials needing
multimedia equipment can reserve these rooms for class presentations or for
University-sponsored conferences or events which require the use of multimedia
equipment. Priority is given to patrons using Library resources.
Anyone wishing to use a room must contact the Multimedia Resources
Department staff well in advance to reserve the room in his/her name, to ensure that the
room will be available as needed. Food and beverages are not allowed in the conference
rooms.
Instructors who wish to use a Multimedia Resources Department conference room
frequently during a semester will need to secure permission from their Department
Chairperson before announcing any classroom assignment. These rooms are
for instructors needing to use multimedia materials, with priority given to
those using Library Multimedia materials. Failure to use a room after reserving
it may result in the room being reassigned for the rest of the semester.
MSU groups needing to schedule a Conference Room for non-classroom use,
such as a program open to the public, must complete a form noting contact person name and
phone number, name of the event, audience number expected, date room needed, time period
needed, equipment to be used, and sponsoring group.
If equipment is not available in the Library, then the faculty member or
event coordinator is responsible for making other arrangements.
Telephone the department at 973-655-5119 to schedule a
Conference Room.
