Linking to Articles
The Sprague Library subscribes to a number of journal indexes
that use stable Internet addresses articles available in full-text.

This feature allows faculty to include links to articles
within those indexes in their Web syllabi.

Remember, some of the indexes do not use stable Internet addresses.

ABI/InformClick here to enter.

  1. Search ABI normally.
  2. Click on the title of the article you want to link to.
  3. Document URL: Cut and paste the web address for the article from this field into your document.  (See highlighted area below:)
  4. Add the EZProxy prefix to the beginning of that web address.
    EZProxy prefix:  http://ezproxy.montclair.edu:2048/login?url=

  5. The result will look like the link below:
    http://ezproxy.montclair.edu:2048/login?url=http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb?RQT=309&VInst=PROD&VName=PQD&VType=PQD&sid=2&index=1&SrchMode=1&Fmt=3&did=000000624696311&clientId=8606
