Linking to Articles
The Sprague Library subscribes to a number of journal indexes
that use stable Internet addresses articles available in full-text.

This feature allows faculty to include links to articles
within those indexes in their Web syllabi.

Remember, some of the indexes do not use stable Internet addresses.


Science Direct (Elsevier)Click here to enter.

  1. Find articles normally.
  2. Click on "Full Text + Links" for the article in question.
  3. Right click on the link beginning with doi:
    (See highlighted area below)
  4. Select: Copy Shortcut (Internet Explorer) or Copy Link Location (Netscape)
  5. Paste web address into your document.
  6. Add the EZProxy prefix to the document's web address.
    EZProxy prefix:  http://ezproxy.montclair.edu:2048/login?url=

    The address will appear as follows:
    http://ezproxy.montclair.edu:2048/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.anbehav.2003.12.004
