Welcome and Welcome Back! 

I hope by this time you are settled in to your semester’s work of teaching, research, and administration.  It was a busy summer for the Library--I’d like to highlight a few of our projects.

Sprague Library Catalog

It is now a web-based catalog and has features that allow for better searching and is designed for a more attractive presentation of information.  Searching can be done by choosing keyword, author, title, or subject and by further limiting your search by date, language or format of the material.  The terminals have been replaced by pc’s.

Online Resources

Several new databases have been added, including Science Direct and Gender Watch.  And…The Library’s Homepage is continually changing with the addition of new information.  Please take a look at http://www.montclair.edu/library !

Library Instruction

If you are interested in bringing your class to the Library for a general or discipline-specific class, please contact Patricia Sanders, Head of Reference, at 655-7144 or sandersp@mail.montclair.edu.

Reserve

If you would like to place materials on Reserve for your class reading assignments, you can use the form on the Library’s Homepage.  If you have any questions, please call Laura Levy, Head of Circulation/Reserve, at 655-7148 or levyl@mail.montclair.edu.

Interlibrary Services

We now can receive journal articles from other libraries via the Internet, providing better turnaround time for your requests.  We have excellent arrangements with other library consortia that allow us to borrow from many libraries.  If you have any questions about this service, please call 973-655-7143 or consult information on the Library’s Homepage.
